In an agile environment, servant leadership is the type of leadership needed by all roles in the company. Become a leader who is able to maximize the collective intelligence of employees without using politics or power as superiors, but instead becomes a role-model for their employees.

Background
This organization is new in agile and after one-two training, the top level is buy-in, "We have to change our way of working". One month after practicing, they have one challenge, "Our team said, the leader in our company is their biggest obstacle to change and improve".

What we did
It's also a common challenge we found in Indonesia, some say it's about culture. First, we accompany the team retrospective and gather the data. We collected similar issue talking about "Directing". Based on data, we facilitate one event for the top level and middle management to come up with an answer of "What bothering you in our new way of working?" and "What you should do as a leader to make it succeed?".

Again, from those answer (data) we continue to facilitate the leaders to change their behavior in order to support the team and empowering the team to maximize the collective intelligent.
